PTFE Oil Seals Screw Compressor Rotary Lip Seals Rotary Shaft Seals
Lip shaft oil seals are widely used in rotary screw airends and are available in a variety of designs and materials. The purpose of this seal is to retain the oil within the airend and also prevent air, dust and dirt from being drawn along the rotating shaft when the machine is unloaded. (When the inlet valve is closed, if the main engine continues to rotate, a vacuum may be pulled at the inlet end.
Features
1. It has excellent chemical stability and is resistant to almost all chemicals. It can be used to seal water, strong acids, strong alkalis, strong oxidizing solvents, gases, etc. However, due to differences in the formulation of the lip, in order to better meet the requirements of use, please
inform us as much as possible before production.
2. It has excellent friction reduction performance. The friction coefficient of the lip of the PTFE material is extremely low, only 0.02, which is 1/40 of that of rubber. It is particularly suitable for oil-free or low-oil operations, and even if it is restarted after a long shutdown, it can immediately have low friction characteristics.
3. The single lip can withstand a larger pressure of 1.5Mpa, the double lip can withstand a larger pressure of 3Mpa, and the rubber oil seal is only 0.03Mpa; it is particularly suitable for high-speed rotation
applications, with a linear speed of up to 30m/s; it can
work normally in the temperature range of -120ºC~ 220ºC.4. PTFE The stainless steel oil seal lip is pulled into a trumpet shape during processing. Because PTFE has the ability to shrink after drawing, the friction heat generated during work will cause the lip to shrink continuously, so there is no need for the help of a spring. It fits tightly to the shaft so that there is no gap between it and the shaft surface, and it can compensate for wear. At present, PTFE stainless steel oil seals are mainly used in screw air compressors, vacuum pumps, automated precision machinery, robots, chemical processing equipment, pharmaceutical and food processing equipment, etc., and are particularly suitable for harsh environments where traditional rubber oil seals cannot do.
